Production Process

All Feuerwear® articles are handcrafted. But not every firehose is suitable for every item of our collection. Our experienced staff in preproduction pick the hoses for each of our products. These are then cut into pieces, which later form the basis for our bags and accessories. Because the material has been dragged through a lot of soot, grease and mud over their years of active firefighting duty, the first thing we do is clean them thoroughly. The cut and washed pieces are then stitched into laptop bags, messenger bags, handbags, shoppers, fanny packs, belts and wallets. This requires a lot of skill, dexterity, and the use of special machines that are sturdy enough to sew this extremely tough material.
