Feuerwear® goes Streetart
From used firehose, Feuerwear® makes innovative bags. This summer, Feuerwear® brings together streetart and streetwear in an unprecedented fashion. Feuerwear® has invited famous streetartist EL Bocho to use firehose as a new medium. Feuerwear® will create exclusive bags out of 30 El Bocho firehose paintings.
El Bocho's original firehose artwork will be shown from July 1st - 31st 2009 at Berlin's streetart festival Urban Affairs extended, located at Gerichtsstrasse 65, Stattbad Wedding.
Come see Feuerwear's® live performance at Urban Affairs, from July 1st through 3rd, as we demonstrate how streetart becomes streetwear in a live production of Feuerwear bags from El Bocho's artwork.
El Bocho
El Bocho is one of Germany's most famous streetartists. El Bocho's artwork can be found all over Berlin's streets, injecting a healthy dose of surreality and wit into their urban surroundings.
Some of El Bocho's signature motifs include Little Lucy, a mischievious figure who bears ill will to feline friends, masterful tape art portraits, and a duo of security cameras named Kalle and Bern. A self-aware and evolving artist, El Bocho incorporates popular reaction to his artwork into his new pieces.
The Products
El Bocho created art out of our prepared and custom-tailored upcycled firehouse. Feuerwear® will be creating Scott N 13 bags (the medium-sized bag with a removable, upholstered case for laptops up to 13") from these firehose artworks. If you would like to see the live production of the El Bocho styled bags, come to the Feuerwear exhibition from July 1st - 3rd at the Berlin Urban Affairs festival.
Urban Affairs Streetart Festival
Urban Affairs extended is an international streetart celebration and exhibition. The 2nd annual Urban Affairs will take place in Berlin, a city famed for its lively and diverse urban art scene. In addition to exhibitions from internationally recognized artists, there will be interactive performances and large installations to marvel at.
